Rosemary & Lavender Surface Spray Recipe

LAVENDAR.jpg

Experimenting around with homemade cleaning products it’s something I’ve been doing for a few years now. Typically I tend to lean towards using lemon or other citrus scented fruits or oils because those smells always remind me of ‘cleanliness’ for some reason haha.

I stumbled across this recipe on Pinterest, which I believe may have originally stemmed from Stacy Sullivan over on Instagram.

I did not create this recipe, I am just sharing it here :)

Vinegar can be used as a safer bleach alternative for some applications, like cleaning. It is also biodegradable. However, vinegar is not a registered disinfectant and does not kill dangerous bacteria like staphylococcus.

Ingredients:

  • White vinegar

  • A few sprigs of lavendar

  • Dried rosemary

Method:

  1. Combine lavendar, rosemary and vinegar in a sealed jar and leave for 1-2 weeks.

  2. Strain the mixture into a spray bottle and dilute with a 1:1 ratio with distilled water

The lavender and rosemary leave your home smelling wonderful! Just remember to use this as a general surface cleaner, not as a disinfectant. White vinegar acts as a deodoriser and cuts grease incredibly well, so it is useful around many surfaces in the home.
